Rockstar ‘Sorry’ Over GTA Online Launch Problems!
After completing the main story of the massive action game Grand Theft Auto V a few days ago, I was eagerly waiting for the launch of the online section of the game, so I could once again dive in to the exciting world of Los Santos, but due to a few teething problems with the title this hasn’t been entirely possible.
It is totally understandable that the online section of the title would have a few troubles at the early stages of the launch. Many users had issues with the game failing to load, while others reported problems with being disconnected once they manage to get online (myself included in the latter).
Game developers Rockstar had previously warned gamers that “plenty of issues are bound to occur” ahead of the launch and have set up a support site, which will provide gamers with news on the companies efforts to fix the ongoing problems.
Rockstar had this to say on the site about the online issues, “We apologise for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this”.
The issues are probably due to the fact that gamers have all rushed to get online following the announcement of launch time yesterday, and Rockstar’s servers just couldn’t cope with the high influx of players.
It is good to see that Rockstar are working around the clock to fix this issue, but personally I think I’m going to wait a week or so before trying to get online again, in a hope that all the bugs are fixed by then.
GTA V is out now for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
